But today, we’re only looking at two LAGRIMA models. In this LAGRIMA LAG-800 vs LAG-570 review, I’ll explain all the features and benefits of both pianos. And at the end, I’ll explain the reason why I found the LAGRIMA LAG-570 to be the better pick.

LAGRIMA LAG-800 vs LAGRIMA LAG-570: A Head to Head Comparison
I usually judge digital pianos based on their tone, feel, and piano features. And when looking at these categories for these two pianos, the LAGRIMA LAG-570 came out on top with a score of 3-1. While the LAGRIMA LAG-800 is a great affordable digital piano for beginners, the LAG-570 is a more premium option.
Granted, the LAG-570 is still very affordable, but a bit more expensive than the LAG-800, which is why you can expect more functionality. Keep reading as I’ll explain exactly how the LAG-800 held up against the LAG-570 below.
Tone
The winner: Tie
When it comes down to the tone, it’s all a matter of preference. While they have the same tone generator, the LAG-570’s sound library is far superior. That said, when testing the pianos myself, I noticed that the LAG-800 had a slight advantage in terms of sound quality, likely because it has much fewer voices.
+Tone Generator
Both of these pianos use sample-based tone generators. These are the most basic type of tone generators for digital pianos, which is what you’d expect from digital pianos in this price range. When you have a sample-based tone generator, the piano is loaded with various samples or recordings of real instruments. Then, pianists can trigger these samples by pressing a key.
The difference between these tone generators, on the other hand, is that the LAGRIMA LAG-800 is loaded with higher-quality samples. When conducting tone tests, I noticed that the LAG-800 had a bit more realism and detail in the voices compared to the LAG-570.
That said, the higher-quality samples comes with a heavy trade-off. To load these samples onto the piano, LAGRIMA had to cut out a lot of the voices from the LAG-800. This is the reason why the LAG-570 has hundreds more voices than the LAG-800, which I’ll explain further in the next section.
+Sound Library
While I loved the voices on the LAG-800, I was quite annoyed by the variety on the piano. This digital piano only comes with five voices, all of which are piano variations. While this is fine if you’re strictly a pianist that doesn’t want to experiment with other sounds, this doesn’t work for musicians looking for sound variety.
This is where the LAGRIM LAG–570 truly stood out. It comes with a massive sound library for the price, with over 900 voices to choose from. This allows you to play just about any style of music and experiment with your own sounds.
That said, keep in mind that the quality of the voices on the LAG-570 is significantly lower than that on the LAG-800. So, while I gave the point to both pianos, it’s really all a matter of preference. So, if you prefer quality over quantity, the LAG-800 is for you, but if you really need a large variety of voices to choose from, then you’re better off with the LAG-570.
Feel
The winner: LAGRIMA LAG-570
In terms of feel, the LAGRIMA LAG-570 was the clear winner. The non-weighted keys on the LAG-800 were a huge issue for me, which is why I was very happy to see that the LAG-570 came with weighted keys, which feel much closer to a real acoustic piano.
+Hammer Action
Since the LAGRIMA LAG-570 comes with weighted keys, it was the easy winner in this category. My major issue with the LAG-800 is that it has non-weighted keys, which take away a lot of the realism from playing the piano.
Granted, if you’re a beginner, non-weighted keys might be better. This is because it makes it a bit easier to press the different piano keys and learn the basic techniques. However, as you progress, you will start looking for the resistance that weighted keys provide, which is why I chose the LAG-570 as this category’s winner.
Piano Features
The winner: LAGRIMA LAG-570
The last category I used to compare these pianos was the piano features. More specifically, I looked at the polyphony and playing modes. And as expected, the LAG-570 came out on top again. As the more expensive model, it should come as no surprise that it has more playing modes and better polyphony.
+Polyphony
The LAG-800 only comes with 64-note polyphony. While there’s nothing wrong with that, it is a bit limiting for when you want to really add expression to your playing. With the 128-note polyphony of the LAG-570, you can expect notes to ring out longer and to have a bit more clarity when you play many of them simultaneously.
If you plan on taking piano seriously, I suggest going for the LAG-570. When you have 128-note polyphony, you unlock many possibilities in your playing. This is great for people progressing in their musical journey and is another reason why the LAG-570 might last you longer than the LAG-800.
+Playing Modes
While both pianos came with dual and split modes, I was surprised that the LAG-800 was the only one that came with lesson mode. This is a very useful feature as it allows you to split the piano into two mini keyboards with the same tuning. That way, you can play duets or have piano lessons using only one instrument.
This is very useful for beginners, but if you’re a more advanced pianist, you might find split and dual modes a bit more useful. This is because these modes allow you either divide the piano into two zones with different voices or blend two voices together to create a unique combination.
LAGRIMA LAG-800 vs LAGRIMA LAG-570: The Similarities
These pianos come from the same brand and product line, so it should be no surprise that they share a lot of fo features. To start, they are both affordable pianos that are great for beginners and novice pianos. While the LAGRIMA-570 comes with more advanced features, both options offer a lot of value for the money and are some of my favorite picks in this price range.
Additionally, they both have a great LCD screen you can use to navigate through the features. Many digital pianos are fairly hard to use as they don’t have a user-friendly interface. However, the LAG-570 and the LAG-800 are both very user-friendly, which make them great picks for anyone in need of their first digital piano.
